The Bay Area Rural Transit system, or BART, is a public transportation service serving the Chequamegon Bay Region of Northern Wisconsin. The Northland College Student Association access a fee for all Northland students that pays for unlimited rides on all routs but the Duluth bus rout, as well as unlimited rides for faculty and staff that carry a valid Northland ID.The current Saturday service is specifically sponsored by NCSA and the over $9,000 given to the BART system each year.
The BART bus system has served the Chequamegon Bay area since 1981. It provides riders with a safe, clean and reliable alternative means of transportation in the Ashland and Bayfield County areas. B.A.R.T. provides a fixed route commuter service for the residents of Red Cliff, Ashland, Bayfield, Washburn and Odanah in northern Wisconsin. Riding the bus in these communities is convenient as more than 80% of the residents live within walking distance of the BART routes. The BART offers service at each of its bus stops every 2 hours.
